R E E L
For as long as I can remember, I was always happiest when I was creating. Growing up, I would watch my mom work on her oil paintings while my dad would come home from work and immediately sit down at our baby grand in the living room where he proceeded to roll through a series of arpeggios. Add to that my burgeoning love for cartoons, monster movies (think Ray Harryhausen), and the influences of 60s and 70s pop culture, and my fate was sealed. I spent my 20s and the majority of my 30s in several bands, lending my voice to background vocals in the occasional studio session, and writing and performing my own music. When my daughter was born in 1999, I took my creativity in a new direction and decided to pursue two of my secret passions: Animation and Special Effects. Inspired by the likes of Chuck Jones, Ray Harryhausen, Bill Plympton, and other creative geniuses, my influences range from the traditional to the surreal.
